Snow Day Fun!

Madison got up this morning while mom and I were outside. We looked up and saw her looking out the window at us:) so cute! She wanted to join us so we layered her up and took her outside. She didn't want to stay too long because it was really cold and she wasn't sure about walking on the snow. Since we didn't plan on the kids staying with us overnight and we didn't plan on it snowing...we didn't exactly have appropriate 'snow clothes' so we had to piece together coats, hats, and gloves we had at our house. Poor Eddie had to wear a girl's coat when we took him outside last night (you see it in the pictures a few posts down). Anyway, we made it work. Unfortunately we don't even have (or I couldn't find) a sled or anything for us to sled down the hill with. Maybe next time. It's just been so long since we had snow that you could play in we must have given away our snow play gear throughout the years.

Amy,
I'm so jealous of the snow! We don't get any usually in Birmingham. Next time it snows, use a cookie sheet as a sled. We did that in Auburn one year it snowed and it was a blast. The cookie sheet may not last long but the memories will last a lifetime. Merry Christmas! I'm praying for you and your family this year!
