christmas at cheekwood

today molly and i had a wonderful day at cheekwood
cheekwood is a local art & garden attraction in nashville
it is beautiful in all seasons and has special kid events also

it was a gorgeous day outside and we loved walking around and seeing pretty things!
her pants were too long and her hair was lopsided...
what fashion faux pas!
of course santa was there, but since we've seen him 3 weeks in a row we didn't wait in line again for another picture!
but, santa had his reindeer with him and we got to see them
this is prancer and vixen i believe
did you know they shed {?} their antlers each year and grow a whole new pair?
isn't that incredible?

of course santa came in on his sleigh for the day
and the kids could climb aboard to check it out!

there was story time that we loved!

and there was christmas craft stations set up in different rooms

the art museum is inside a mansion that was decorated in different themed trees
this is the polar express tree

this outside area was decorated for "how the grinch stole christmas"

looking at some art i'm certain we could replicate! ha!

 frosty the snowman tree

 the night before christmas tree
there were some trains set up
molly loves trains!

and after our long day we had a wonderful lunch there before we came home and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon!
it was a fun day!
now, we are resting up for a small holiday "dance" recital tomorrow at her school.
i'll post pics of that soon!

Tell Molly if she moves to Elkhart, IN she will see trains every time she goes someplace. She will loose her fondness for them very quickly!
